Editorial reading
Editorial interpretation: Distinguish the church's original architectural campaign from its later destruction, recovery and cathedral status. Reading these milestones separately makes the building's institutional history clearer without assigning one date to its whole fabric.

Read the cathedral’s architectural history in separate phases, using the responsible institution’s account. Confirm current visiting hours, services and any admission restrictions with the cathedral before travelling.
