Redactionele duiding
Editorial interpretation: The movement from the apse to the painted portal offers a way to read successive stages of construction. Keeping the later consecration separate from the building campaigns avoids turning a ceremonial date into a completion date.
Aanbeveling
Check the responsible institution’s current visitor arrangements, conservation closures and accessibility before travelling. Confirm which parts are open and follow local guidance, including worship and photography rules where applicable.
